This is how they get ya:

Ever wonder what investment banking people are talking about when they mention "shorting" a stock? Essentially, these people make money when the stock drops because they are betting that there will be a significant decrease in the stock's price... so it wouldn't hurt to know in advance that a company or industry (or try "world economy") was destined to bite the dust.

I am not saying that short selling is the main reason why we are in this economic predicament... Short selling is but one strand in the destructive web of financial leveraging instruments aimed at HUGE returns for the people that are wealthy and educated enough (aka the people that currently hold the "leverage")to play the game.

Bear in mind, only the people with the deepest pockets were able to place their bets.

iBlogger on my iPhone :)

Rock climbing in Echo Cliff's with Christopher Reed and Peter Kitch. Shot this a few months ago but only recently put the video together... it was shot using a really small digital camera so it has that very crisp blurry feel that few cameras these days can achieve.
